Welcome back! Today is Simply Sunday and today’s project is featuring old and new products that Stampin’ Up! offers. I’ve got a video for this Sunday’s card project, I hope you enjoy it.
This card uses the new Thick Very Vanilla card stock as the base. I cut an 8 1/2″ by 11″ sheet of Thick Very Vanilla card stock in half to get an 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″. Then I scored this at 4 1/4″, at the half way point of the 8 1/2″ side. This created the base. (Please know that I always want to include the very basic instructions just in case someone who has never created a card from scratch stumbles on this post.)
The Sahara Sand card stock was a scratch piece I had and I cut it at 5 1/4″ by 4″. The Falling In Love Designer Series Paper was one that Stampin’ Up! retired from the Occasions Catalog, it sold out quick. I love it and I’m winding down my stash by creating cards that are fun and easy. This was also a scrap piece that I cut down to 5 1/8″ by 3 7/8″ being careful to ensure that the design is directionaly (I think I just made up a word! LOL) correct. Some Designer Series Papers are design with a top and bottom, or a direction so be careful and ensure you are cutting it correctly for what you want.
Okay, so you can see the remaining instructions in the video but know that I’m always available if you have questions so just ask.
This is going to be a new regular post for Sundays. Simply Sunday posts will show you simple and clean cards that are beautiful and stunning in their simplicity.
Today I’m featuring the Eastern Palace Suite that is now available for order on the Stampin’ Up! website prior to the catalog going live. This Suite is available as two bundles, one is the Starter Bundle for $60.50 (147196) with a free set of Very Vanilla Note Cards and matching Envelopes. The larger of the two is the Premier Bundle (147207) that is $103.50. You can read more about it in this PDF. Eastern_Palace_Flyer_NA
My intention is to show you that you can make beautiful cards with simple ingredients. Card stock, ink and stamps work together to create lovely understated cards. I’ve used the Very Vanilla Note Cards and the Eastern Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set. Both of which are included in the Easter Palace Starter Bundle.
Also in the Eastern Palace Starter Bundle you will find that you receive three of the new In Color Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads. The new colors included are Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist. You can see the I’ve used two, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig in most. I love these two colors together, they are so beautiful.
I also used the Lemon Lime Twist in this simple thank you card. I do like the color but some colors just need to grow on you a while and this one has me. This stamp set has gorgeous designs mixed with timeless greetings that can be used for many purposes. Of course, everyone needs a thank you card and I love how simple yet elegant this one turned out to be.
And this here is my favorite greeting in the stamp set. Let’s be friends forever! How is that to start your note to someone who means a lot to you? Wow, I’ve got the perfect person in mind for this one.
