Cool Treats Card Measurements for Video!

Cool Treats Card, Stephanie Deese Stamps

I told you that I would post the measurements for this card from my video in a blog post so here it is.  I really enjoyed making the card and the video.  Luckily my face (no makeup day) did not get in the video, Yay!!!!  So the video is posted and I did not have to redo any of it nor did I edit it.  I do edit videos sometimes but this was just a video to show my process, it’s raw and impromptu.  I laugh at myself a lot and let’s face it, if you can’t laugh at yourself then you are too serious!

I began with Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White 11” x 8 ½” card stock. Cut the card stock in half along the 11” length at 5 ½”.  I then scored the card stock at 4 ¼” along the 8 ½” side.  Fold along the score line.

The Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock was cut at 5 3/8” by 4 1/8”.  The Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper was trimmed at 5 ¼” by 4”.

The Whisper White card stock that I stamped the Popsicle on measures 4” by 3 ½”.

I hope you enjoy the video and find that it helps you along in your journey of card making.

If you have any questions feel free to ask it here and I will answer.  If you wish to shop with me click on the link to the right and shop away!  I would love to have you as a customer.  If you need a catalog just request one from me and I shall send it your way.

Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to posting more projects and videos in the future.

Getting Ready for the Tallapoosa Dogwood Festival! April 8th!

The local Dogwood Festival is fast approaching and I am excited to participate in this event as a vendor.  This will be my first Art Festival and I am a little nervous but happy to be taking the leap.

I’m working on individual cards, card sets, DIY Card packs, home decor items as well as other things.

Some cards you have seen before on my blog and I have a tutorial that you can down load to make these yourself.  I have created a set of four cards that will be available in a very cute tin that you can keep to organize your cards.

Lift Me Up Tin of Cards

I have taken the Card Tin from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration and decorated with the Carried Away Designer Series Paper as well as the Lift Me Up Bundle from the Occasions Catalog.  I’ve created two of these and absolutely love them!  I’m not too sure I can let them go.

I’m taking two more tins and decorating them using the Cool Treats Suite and adding four coordinating cards.

Cool Treats Cards using the Cool Treats Suite

I am in love with these suites from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  The suites make it easy to put beautiful cards together with little thought before hand.  All you have to do is choose a coordinating color and the DSP (Designer Series Paper) you love, grab the stamp set, thinlits and coordinating ink and your set.  You will have a masterpiece in no time.

If you are in the Tallapoosa, GA area on Saturday April 8th please take time to stop by.  You will have fun!

Thanks for stopping by and sticking around.

Love you guys!

Winner of the January Paper Pumpkin GIVEAWAY!

Yay! It’s time to announce the winner.  I had planned on picking a winner Monday, last night, but other responsibilities got in the way.  Ah, that’s life, right?  It is in my world but I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I love being a CASA to the kiddos I work with and get more than I give.

Also, my baby girl, two years old, was picked up by her daddy while I was late getting home.  Well, of course, he allowed her to drink Apple Juice until I got in, 9.  You know how that turned out.  Yep, she was up until 11, wild as can be.  So needless to say, yeah, I was preoccupied with my precious little girl.

With that said I’m ready to let you know…..the winner of the January Paper Pumpkin GIVEAWAY is……….Jaime Kennedy.  Yay!  You go girl!

January Paper Pumpkin Project and Alternative

I LOVE Paper Pumpkin!  The January Paper Pumpkin did not disappoint.  I got to work right away creating the original projects which were so quick and easy to do.

January Paper Pumpkin Orig Project

I got to thinking that this would be a great scrapbooking embellishment pack.  I had fun working with it to complete my baby girls first Valentine’s Day page.  Yes, I’m behind on a few scrapbook pages so I’ve made myself a promise to work on a few pages a week to get caught up.  Lucky you can watch me as I do this and maybe you will get inspired to get those pictures out and get them into a format you will enjoy looking through and experiencing over and over again.

I used a 12 by 12 sheet of Calypso Coral Card Stock as the foundation, added some Whisper White card stock cut to size and the January Paper Pumpkin kit to embellish the page.  Let me know what you think.

We spent our first Valentine’s Day in the hospital.  I won’t go into details but baby girl is perfect now.  The bow she is sporting is one the sweetest nurse made her.  I love her to pieces and I really like how this page turned out.  Below are some other elements close up.

January Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

I think you should try Paper Pumpkin out for your self if you haven’t already.  This is a great time to sign up with no further obligation.  You can sign up with a 3 month prepaid subscription for $55.  That’s a discount of $4 and you qualify for a free Sale-A-Bration product when you do.  That’s a great deal.  If you don’t have a demonstrator already I would love to provide you with inspiration and guidance on how to create the projects you want to create.  Just click the Paper Pumpkin Picture to the right and the link will take you to Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin Site so you can sign up.  Or just email me and I will help you out with the sign up.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post!
